A building and survival game for your wrist
If you are looking for games like Minecraft on Apple Watch, WatchBlocks offers its own take on mining, crafting, and building. It is an independent sandbox survival game by Formidable Studio, designed to run directly on Apple Watch.
WatchBlocks is a separate game. It is not Minecraft, a Minecraft port, or a companion app, and it is not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft. It does not connect to Minecraft worlds or servers.
Mine, craft, and survive in 2D
The core Survival game uses a 2D world. Gather wood and stone, mine ore, craft equipment, build shelter, and grow food. Exploring brings you to different biomes, from caves and snowfields to the Mystlands. Nighttime creatures and bosses add danger to the building loop.
The side-on view and watch-sized controls make this a different experience from Minecraft’s first-person 3D Survival. WatchBlocks has its own items, creatures, progression, and recipes. Start with the Apple Watch controls and getting-started guide to see how it plays.
Creative building and 3D
Creative is for experimenting with unlimited building resources. Full Access includes saved Creative worlds and 3D Creative, giving you another way to build and explore.
Keep the two modes in mind when choosing what to play: the core Survival experience is 2D, while 3D Creative focuses on building. This is not a promise of Minecraft’s 3D Survival mechanics.
Play on Apple Watch, then continue on a bigger screen
WatchBlocks runs natively on Apple Watch; you do not need an iPhone nearby for solo watch play. It also runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV, with Apple Vision Pro supported through the iPad app. Your worlds can sync through iCloud across your devices.
For playing with friends, WatchBlocks has its own nearby and online multiplayer. Follow the multiplayer guide for connection steps and requirements.
Try WatchBlocks
WatchBlocks is free to start, with a three-day trial of the complete game. After the trial, free players can keep up to three saved Survival worlds and try Creative without saving. Full Access is an optional one-time purchase with no subscription.
