Shotline privacy policy

The essentials

This policy applies specifically to Shotline by Formidable Studio (Keaton Rozema). Your golf logs and swing analysis are processed on your devices. The reviewed app has no studio account system, advertising SDK, or third-party usage analytics. We do not sell your personal information.

Location for measuring shots

With your permission, Shotline uses precise location to mark where you strike the ball and where you find it, and to calculate distance and GPS accuracy. It temporarily saves the strike location so an interrupted measurement can resume. On supported iPhone configurations, location updates can continue during an active measurement in the background.

Completed shot logs store measurements such as distance, accuracy, time, club, round, and hole. Shotline does not send your GPS fixes or golf logs to a Formidable Studio server. You can change location permissions in device settings; GPS measurement requires permission.

Camera, microphone, and Photos

If you use swing recording and tracing, Shotline requests camera access to record video and may request microphone access to capture swing audio and help locate the moment of impact. Video, audio, and tracing analysis are processed locally.

If you choose to save a clip to Photos, the app requests permission to add it to your library. A saved or shared clip is then handled by Photos, any enabled iCloud Photos service, and the destination you choose. You can revoke camera, microphone, and Photos permissions in device settings.

Paired devices, reminders, and purchases

Shotline uses Apple’s WatchConnectivity to sync relevant shot and round data and remote-camera commands between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch. Widgets use shared app storage. With permission, practice reminders use local notifications.

Apple processes purchases for additional features. The app reads product and entitlement information to unlock and restore access. We do not receive payment-card details. See Apple’s privacy policy.

Storage and deletion

Logs, preferences, and app-managed clips remain on your devices until you remove them. Delete shots and rounds using the app’s controls and allow paired-device sync to complete. To remove all local app data, remove the app and its stored data on each device. Device backups may retain earlier copies.

Clips exported to Photos, Files, or another app remain there until you delete them separately. Deleting Shotline does not delete those copies. If you contact support, we receive your message and any logs or media you choose to attach; please avoid sending sensitive location or video information unless needed.

Privacy requests and children

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, object to or restrict processing, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Contact formidablegamesstudio@gmail.com to make a request about information held by Formidable Studio. We may need to verify the request. You may also contact your local data-protection authority. Apple and other providers handle requests for information under their own control.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If a child has submitted personal information to us or through an online feature, a parent or guardian can contact us to request review and removal.

Security and policy updates

We use the protections available through the app, Apple’s platform, and the services described above. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Service providers may process information outside your country under their own applicable safeguards.

We may update this policy when features or practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. The studio privacy policy covers the website and shared studio practices; this page describes the app-specific features.
