WatchBlocks WikiTool Bench & upgrades
The Tool Bench repairs pickaxes and swords and permanently adds compatible upgrades to an individual tool. It is the bridge between ordinary crafted equipment and specialized late-game gear.
Craft and use the bench
Craft a Tool Bench from one Workbench and four Copper Ingots, place it, then interact with it. Choose a pickaxe or sword from your inventory to see its durability, repair option, installed upgrades, and the upgrades still available for that tool.

A damaged tool costs one matching repair material. A tool at zero durability costs two. Repairing restores the tool to its full durability.
Pickaxe-only upgrades

Sword-only upgrades

Pickaxe and sword upgrades

Rare loot-only upgrades
Prospector, Vampiric, and Temple-Forged cannot be installed at the Tool Bench. They appear on special tools found through generated loot, so finding one is meaningfully different from crafting a replacement.

A single tool can hold every compatible upgrade, but each named upgrade can only be installed once. Rare upgrades may arrive alongside an additional upgrade on generated loot.
