Multiplayer & modding
WatchBlocks grows beyond a solo sandbox with Apple-device multiplayer and creator tools for making your own blocks, items, biomes, mobs, structures, and skins.
Multiplayer
- Game Center multiplayer: available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
- LAN multiplayer: host or join local network games.
- Watch Co-op: team up using an iPhone and Apple Watch.
- Cross-play and cross-progression: the official game page documents continuity across Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Apple Vision Pro is supported through the compatible iPadOS app.
Free to start & Full Access
WatchBlocks is free to start. An optional one-time Full Access purchase unlocks saved worlds, Creative Mode, custom worlds, custom skins, mod creation, and Watch Console. Free players can create up to three worlds; additional worlds require Full Access.
Mod Studio
Creator tools support custom blocks, items, biomes, mobs, structures, and skins. Custom content can be organized into modpacks, enabled during world creation, and shared. CraftBits now gives free players access to community-made mods. Built-in creator surfaces include the Mod Studio, Skin Editor, Watch Texture Studio, and Watch Console.
Custom slots & verified boundaries
The game reserves custom registry slots for mod content: 32 custom block slots, 32 custom mob slots, and eight custom biome slots are defined in the current implementation. The exact behavior of a custom definition depends on its creator settings and the enabled modpack. This Wiki intentionally avoids promising capabilities that are not exposed by those definitions.
