Controls & input
WatchBlocks treats Apple Watch as a first-class game device. The interface keeps essential actions close to the thumb, adapts the hotbar to available screen width, and supports larger-screen input when you continue on iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
Apple Watch input
- Use the Digital Crown to cycle through hotbar slots, inventory slots, and crafting recipes.
- The hotbar adapts between three and five slots depending on the watch display.
- Touch targets are organized for one-handed play with high-contrast pixel UI and haptic/audio feedback.
- Open the Help menu and Input Mapping screens for the current device-specific mapping.
Movement
Drag around the play field to move, or use the on-screen joystick. Jumping, swimming, climbing, and double-jumping are contextual actions. Jump Boots unlock the double jump; Climbing Claws enable wall climbing; Slow Fall Charm negates fall damage and slows descent.
Mining and building
Choose Tap-to-Break for queued block breaking or Hold-to-Break for continuous precision mining. Hold-to-Break includes a magnifying lens for fine placement and mining. Tap a valid position to place the selected block, then use the hotbar to switch material.
Inventory and crafting
Long-press a crafting recipe to craft the maximum available amount. Holding an inventory item reveals its description. Special items can be used directly from inventory. Creative Inventory is grouped into Blocks, Items, Tools, Mechanical, Mobs, and Misc.
Controllers and settings
Supported Apple devices include controller support. The settings surface includes input preferences, text scale, audio captions, and Hold-to-Break/Tap-to-Break selection. Captions can identify sounds and nearby threats.
